Mike Witmer 

 

 

  My paintings focus on the perceptual and optical nature of art, emphasizing the interplay of color and light.  The surfaces are created to be sensitive to the ambient light of a room, registering subtle changes in contrast, warm and cool, even the passing of a cloud.
